2015 Player Rankings (OH)

Point Guards

  1. AJ Harris – 5’9 Dayton Dunbar - Ohio's top point guard prospect. This lefty has an excellent change of speed, handle and court vision. Harris also locks down on defense, his quickness gives opposing guards problems advancing the ball up the court. He is an elite prospect in c/o 2015 and is a flat out winner. 
  2. D’mitrik Trice – 5’9 Dayton Huber Heights Wayne - Highly skilled scoring point guard. Many consider Trice and shooting guard but with his size and handle he is directed more at the point. Trice can put up numbers in bunches when he gets hot, if grows any more watch out!
  3. Isaiah Jones – 5’11 Cincinnati Woodward - Skilled pure point guard. Jones can get the job done distributing or scoring the ball. Solid handle and speed that allows him to get baskets at will. He must continue to improve on his  jump shot to go along with his ability to finish around the rim. 
  4. LaMonta Stone – 5’7 Bowling Green - One of the purest point guards the state has to offer. Stone has the ability to make everyone around him better with his vision and ball handling ability. He is a floor general, hard working leader on the court.  He can score it but more effective getting his teammates involved.
  5. DeJuan Sherman – 5’11 Cincinnati West High - Sherman is one of the sleepers at the point position in the state.Sherman is a creative passer and when it comes to seeing the floor, he has excellent vision. He can get reckless with the ball at times but he has great handle and has the ability to make his another 4 teammates better. Sherman must continue to improve on the defensive end and ability to knock down the three consistently.
  6. Craig Randall – 6’0 Youngstown Canfield
  7. Jaevin Cumberland – 5’11 Wilmington - Smooth scoring combo guard. Cumberland is more of a shooting/scoring guard but his size and passing ability allows him play both positions well. He must continue to get stronger and handle the ball quicker to be a point guard at the next level if doesn't grow any more.
Shooting Guards 

  1. Luke Kennard – 6’5 Franklin - The most complete offensive player in the class. Kennard has a great touch from beyond the arc, he can finish at the rim and makes his teammates better with his excellent court vision. One of the most versatile players of his class. Kennard has no problem bringing the ball up the floor or going down low and making post moves. He has above average athleticism to go along with high skill set.  He already has offers from Ohio State, Michigan, West Virginia, Purdue and Wisconsin. 
  2. MaCio Teague – 6’3 Cincinnati Summit Country Day - Highly skilled, scoring guard. Teague can get his shot off against any defender.  He is deceptively quick and just has a great knack for scoring the basketball, he can shoot it from the three, pull-up off the dribble or get to basket and finish with the big guys.
  3. Kyle Ahrens – 6’3 Dayton Versailles - Another gifted offensive player. Ahrens has range that extends the three point line. He is set shooter that will also pull up in a defenders face. He must continue to improve on his ball handling to play at the next level.
  4. Josh Williams - 6'2 Akron Barberton - Talented combo guard that has great court vision. Though Williams is not the quickest player, he uses his ball handling ability to create space and above average first step to get past defenders. He has a great touch around the rim.
  5. Andre Foster – 6’3 Dayton Trotwood Madison - Smooth handling off guard who can score it a number of ways. Foster has proven his self as a fierce slasher and has improved on his jumper. He is also an above average passer and defender. 
  6. Jordan Dartis – 6’2 Norwalk - Athletic combo guard who loves to attack the basket. Dartis can create space to get off his mid-range shot or he can get to the basket and use his body to get off a high percentage shot. Must continue to improve on his outside shot. 
  7. Michael Ryan – 6’4 Cleveland St. Edward - Slashing combo guard with great athleticism and footwork. Ryan has the ability to play inside and outside and his versatility will make him a good college prospect.
Small Forwards 
  1. Devon Andrews – 6’4 Cleveland Lorain - Smooth combo guard with major upside. Andrews makes the game look easy. With his ball handling ability and explosive first step, Andrews gets to the basket at will. He can knock down the long range shot but he must continue to improve in this area.
  2. JaQuan Harrison – 6’4 Columbus Africentric - Solid wing that competes hard. Harrison is proven on the offensive and defensive end. He must continue to improve his ball handling and shooting touch as he continues to grow. 
  3. Xeyrius Williams – 6’8 Dayton Huber Heights Wayne - Skilled forward that can do damage inside and outside. Williams has a nice touch and can get to the basket. To be 6'8, Williams shoots the above average from deep and has a great mid-range game. He is a productive rebounder on both ends of the court. 
  4. Devin Reed – 6’2 Dayton Huber Heights Wayne
  5. Chris London – 6’4 Columbus New Albany
  6. Ryan Miksell – 6’6 Saint Henry
Power Forwards 
  1. Carlton Bragg – 6’9 Cleveland Villa Angela St. Joseph’s - Bragg is the top post recruit coming out the state c/o 2015. He has excellent athleticism that allows him score in the post. His leaping ability and basketball IQ frustrates opposing offensive players. He has the body of a post and the skills of guard, he has great balance of inside and outside play. He already has offers from Ohio State, West Virginia and Texas. 
  2. Noah Bramlage – 6’8 Ottawa Glandorf - Versatile post player that can also play outside. Bramlage has solid athleticism but is very explosive. Most of his points come around the basket but he can go outside and get the job done against slower post players. 
  3. Esa Ahmad – 6’7 Cleveland Shaker Heights -  Ahmad has a complete offensive skill set. Ahmad is a great combo forward that can score inside and out. If he continues to grow, get stronger and faster he will be another high major recruit in the c/o of 2015
  4. Myo Baxter – 6’6 Cincinnati Lakota East - Baxter is solid post player. He can score with his back to basket, rebound and he defends the post strong. Baxter must improve his offensive skill set if wants to make immediate impact at the next level.  
  5. Devon Robinson – 6’6 Cleveland John Adams
  6. Xavier Harrison – 6’6 Cleveland Lorain
Centers
  1. Tony Anderson – 6’8 Columbus Marion Franklin - Hard-nosed, big bodied space eater. Anderson size will continue to draw attention around the state. As he continues to get better on the offensive end Anderson will be a big time recruit. 
  2. Nate Fowler – 6’9 Cincinnati Moeller - Physical post player with a solid skill set. Fowler also has solid coordination for a athlete his age and size. He has already been offered by West Virginia and Dayton. 
  3. Ahmad Wagner – 6’8 Dayton Huber Heights Wayne - Wagner is one of the most athletic centers in this class. His length bothers opposing players as he gets off the floor quickly to block and alter shots. Wagner is average offensively but has to improve in many area. As he continues to improve his shot from 15 ft in he will be an excellent high-low threat. 
  4. Montell McRae- 6’7 Cleveland Martin Luther King - McRae is good shot blocker with great length and motor that never ends. He has improved on the offensive end being able to score with his back to the basket and can finish rebounds through contact. McRae also handles the ball above average for his position but he must continue to get stronger and work on his mid-range shot. 
  5. Mike Simon – 6’7 Columbus Hilliard Davidson
  6. Jahmere Howze – 6’6 Cleveland Central Catholic
