Xavier Lands a Big Name

Xavier lands a commit from Detroit's Edmond Sumner. Sumner has been one of the hottest names this spring on the AAU circuit. Xavier was the first school to begin recruiting Sumner and last week he visited the school, he liked the school and was able to talk to some of the guys who help seal the deal a week later. Sumner is a 6'3 combo guard that is good attacking the basket. Over the past weeks he has been getting interest in schools close to home such as Michigan and Michigan State. As of last night, Sumner will be a Musketeer. This is Xavier's second commit from the class of 2014. Melvin Swift a forward out of Yates High School in Texas also made a commitment to Xavier this past fall.
