Maderia's Benintendi Sets Records

Andrew Benintendi,Madeira’s standout shooting guard, broke Ohio's all time career hits record in baseball this past Friday. Andrew Benintendi entered the game with 200 career hits, tied for the all-time lead in Ohio high school history(Dan Ruff, 1987), according to OHSAA records.He broke the record when he doubled in the second inning. He finished the game batting 3-3 with a pair of homers. He also became the all-time homerun leader in Madeira High School which was help previously by Tony Ramirez. Andrew Benintendi will be attending the University of Arkansas in the fall on a scholarship for baseball.
