Training Session With Rivera and Simmons

Yesterday we had a training session with Angel Rivera (Left) and Jaaron Simmons(Right) and these two can flat out play. Rivera is as pure as a point guard you will find in the Midwest. He is a pass first point guard that leads his team on and off the court. He isn't the quickest guard but he understands the game and handles the ball like its on the string. He also understands how change speeds and direction to get past quicker guards and is very capable of putting up numbers quickly. Rivera help lead Hughes to its first district title since the 1955-56 season and averaged 16 points, 9 assist and 4 rebounds per game this past season for Hughes. Rivera will be making a decision on school later this week.
Simmons is a scoring point guard who can put up numbers in bunches. He has a great handle and an excellent mid-range game to go along with a quickness and athleticism  He averaged over 23 points per game and 4 assist per game this past season for Alter, leading his team to a trip to Columbus where they lost a state semi final game 53-42. He passed up Andy Meyer as all-time leading scorer in schools history. Simmons will be attending the University of Houston this fall on basketball scholarship.
